Web3 is an ever expanding space of innovation.

New applications, protocol, games, collectibles and more pop up every day!

Here's the guide to get started exploring:

Wallet

To interact with blockchain applications or "DApps", you need a wallet. There are multiple types of wallets:

Custodial:

Custodial means you fully own your wallet. Examples of these are:

Metamask, a Chrome/Firefox extension which almost every Ethereum based application has support for. You can send/receive tokens in your Metamask wallet and interact with DApps on Ethereum, Polygon (a faster "L2" network), and every other EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) blockchain.

Ledger Wallet, ****is a hardware wallet (air-gapped, so no one can ever steal your private key unless they have your seed phrase) which you can connect with USB on your desktop, or Bluetooth with your phone with the Nano X. You can interact with DApps by connecting Ledger with Metamask:

Rainbow Wallet, the most user-friendly wallet which is on iOS (Android soon). It currently supports Ethereum, Polygon and Optimism (an EVM rollup solution).

Connect with WalletConnect to interact with DApps (Decentralized Applications).

Most DApps support WalletConnect, you scan the QR code from the desktop application with your phone, sign the connection and you can interact with the DApp. Using your phone browser and clicking on the Rainbow Wallet icon on WalletConnect popup will also connect the DApp with the Rainbow Wallet.

Rainbow Wallet is recommended for beginners.

Ledger + Metamask is recommended for intermediates for maximum security, your tokens can never be lost or stolen if you keep the recovery seed phrase stored in a safe & OFFLINE location (not on your phone, but on paper!).

Non-Custodial:
